About
Christian Cory has served on a Major Cities police department for 25 years. He currently leads the Crimes Against Persons Bureau. Cory has previously served in the Homicide Section, Sex Crimes Section, Gang/Felony Assault Unit, Crisis Negotiation Team, street crimes unit, and Patrol. As a commander, he has let the Crisis Negotiation Team, Sex Crimes Section, and now the Crimes Against Persons Bureau. He earned his B.S. in Criminology at Kansas State University and his M.A. in Forensic Psychology at the University of North Dakota.
Professionally, Cory is the Co-Director of Project Aletheia, a research initiative promoting ethical, more effective evidence-based interviewing and interrogation practices. Additionally, he is an Executive Fellow at the National Policing Institute and a National Institute of Justice LEADS Scholar.
As a keynote speaker and workshop facilitator, Cory works with public and private sector clients to build their interviewing, investigative, and information-gathering capabilities. His engaging style helps professionals develop stronger communication, rapport-building, listening, and decision-making skills crucial for gathering reliable information and making informed decisions.
